A few years ago, I had an idea for a photo, and on a whim decided to email it to Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport, NY. To my surprise the director of the museum called me up. After a question or two, he told me he loved the idea, and not too long afterwards, for one whole night I had the museum to myself. For the past five years a print of this photograph has been in the museum. A testament to the idea that it never hurts to ask.
